In the case of your generation there is the appearance of it having been a population born out of, nurtured in, and embraced by a larger social context. But you were, it then appears, forced to de-emphasize or renounce parts of that social context as a necessary and remedial expedient toward maintaining peaceful foreign/domestic relations – all inflammatory or contentious identification with culturally sequential heritage was suspended. My generation, however, was born directly into this measure of what could be called a ‘larger social renunciation’...”
